Solitude

© AnnHoffpauir

Another painting of my neighbors old barn.  This time in a different view with an ancient oak in the scene.  The time of year was early fall and the air felt good and cool that day.  A great day to be out painting.  The painting is sold.   http://www.ArtworkbyAnn.com

Blue Skies

© AnnHoffpauir

This old barn has been painted by me several times. It is about a 20 minute drive from my home. An older, really slim cowboy owns the place. He owns quite a few cattle and I have had the privilege to to paint them. Only they must have been in the barn, cause I didn't see'em that day. The day was beautiful and bright, great for a western painting.

Texas Landscape

© AnnHoffpauir

I painted this little piece of Texas in the Austin, Texas area.  It was late spring and the blooms were just about gone and getting hot that day.  I finished up as far as I thought I could and went back to the studio to cool off with a tall glass of iced tea.

Shades of Summer

© AnnHoffpauir

This old barn is next door to me and I have painted it many times.  I love old barns because they have such character and charm and are fantastic subjects to paint.  Make adjustments in the temperature of your paints to create the time of day or the seasons.  This painting is sold.
