Art by Oklahoma Abstract Contemporary Equine Artist Jonelle T. McCoy

part of "Lullaby" painting
While working on my upcoming solo show September 5th at the Sweet Earth Studio in Shawnee, Oklahoma, I'm going to show little sections of paintings- spoilers in a sense, until the time the show opens when I'll reveal the set as a whole and complete.
The name of the show is "Rhythm and Hooves" with a theme of music and dance. One of the quieter and more relaxing pieces takes us to a grassy field with dainty purple flowers where a foal sleeps. This snippet is from the acrylic painting "Lullaby". I enjoyed this one especially for the calm feeling I felt while working on it. I absorbed and released the quiet, centered and at peace emotions while working on this little baby. All cares evaporate when you see this little ones innocence.

© Macchia Vecchia Marble Horse"
Here's one from early in the development of my line style, I studied different colors and types of marble for inspiration. I fell in love with this one, it remains one I often go back to look at to discover it all over again. Sometimes that how a relationship can be, you look again at your partnerships and enjoy them all over again bringing the fine emotions back up to the surface. This acrylic painting is sold.

Art by Oklahoma Abstract Contemporary Equine Artist Jonelle T. McCoy

part of "Flamenco" painting

While working on my upcoming solo show September 5th at the Sweet Earth Studio in Shawnee, Oklahoma, I'm going to show little sections of paintings- spoilers in a sense, until the time the show opens when I'll reveal the set as a whole and complete.
The name of the show is "Rhythm and Hooves" with a theme of music and dance. One of the more exciting pieces is to represent the energetic, sensual and passionate dance called the flamenco. This snippet is from the acrylic painting "Flamenco". It has acrylic texture medium and gold mica accents.

Art by Oklahoma Abstract Contemporary Equine Artist Jonelle T. McCoy

I'm wearing a t-shirt given to me for an equine art festival that was held in Upstate NY this summer. I would have been able to participate if I'd been there in person, sure wish I'd gone since another trip I'd planned on since last year didn't pan out. I would have been able to show some of my art and see family, a huge bonus! I have been a supporter of this venture since I heard of it, and hope to be able to join in next year in person, but possibly even if I can't go. I'm holding the acrylic painting "Duet" in my "Rhythm and Hooves" theme solo show coming up September 5th at the Sweet Earth Studio Mingle Gallery in Shawnee, OK. Behind me are two of my paso fino's, Pocket and Karma.
