Rooster Attitude by Linda Snider Ward

Rooster Attitude is a small 4" x 4" oil painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. In the little town of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, there are two roosters who wander around the town. The locals say that they just showed up one day, and everyone helps take care of them. They’ve become a tourist attraction, and the amazing thing is that they love to be petted. They close their eyes and you can almost hear them purring!
Roosters are actually very beautiful close up and quite stoic looking. I tried to capture this guy’s pride in being such a handsome rooster. If you’re ever in Ocean Springs, look for the Roosters, but also drop by The Art House, an artist co-op, with lots of interesting art to see.
